Snake Peek

It’s been a while since my last post so I wanted to give you all a peek at what I’ve been working on.

The postcards, posters and shirts have all been designed and printed. The wallpaper pack is complete and will soon be ready to adorn your desktop. Below you can get a glimpse of its majesty.

The Monster Manual is a work in progress; the general design is finished and research into each monster’s peculiarities is ongoing. I’ll follow up once it’s all ready.


The main focus of the next update will be Spells. My goal is to make them more fun to cast and more useful generally.

Casting spells by forming shapes with your body is one of the more unique features of Snakelike and I want them to have a greater impact on individual encounters as well as on an overall game. I also hope to increase their appearance rate slightly so it will be easier to experiment with all the different effects.

A number of solutions are in the works and I will go into them in more detail in a future post, but for now I’ll leave you with this gif.

Along the way, a few other things have been resolved. A new mechanism for updating save files when a new version comes out has been implemented, so saves will carry over going forward. An assortment of bugs have been addressed and I am currently investigating some OSX-specific issues reported on the Steam forum.
